Uncle John's Wild Rice Pilaf
- 1 cup (8 oz) uncooked wild rice
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1/4 cup sliced green or red onions
- 1/2 cup blanched slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix together in a covered casserole, place in oven at 325 degrees for 1.5 hours.
