Uncle John's Wild Rice Pilaf

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (8 oz) uncooked wild rice
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/4 cup sliced green or red onions
  • 1/2 cup blanched slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix together in a covered casserole, place in oven at 325 degrees for 1.5 hours.
